In order to set up new utility service with the City of Nevada, please come in to City Hall located at 110 S. Ash. Our regular business hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Same day service is available when requests are received prior to 3:30pm. A valid photo id and deposit are required.
Residential accounts require a $50.00 deposit or the customer may present a letter of credit from their previous utility company in lieu of a deposit. The letter of credit must show a twelve month history, three or fewer late payments, no disconnections for non-payment and no returned checks.
Commercial accounts require a deposit or surety bond. Commercial deposits and bonds are based on two months anticipated usage for the business type.
Services are billed monthly and payments are due on the third Monday.
We accept cash, check, money order, Visa and Mastercard. Payments can be made online, by autodraft, by mail, over the phone, in person and after hours night drop.
All payments must be received by 5pm on the due date to avoid any additional charges. Your due date is located on the bottom portion of your postcard bill. Delinquent accounts with payments received after the final due date will incur a $45 fee and service will be interrupted.
