Beginning April 2012, all water and sewer customers will be merged to the same billing cycle. Meters will be read the first two weeks of each month and be due the third Monday of the following month. During this transition, some customers may experience a shorter or longer bill due May 21, 2012.
In addition, City of Nevada is implementing the following changes to comply with the Municipal Code. These changes are effective April 2, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact us at 417-448-2700.
Drop Box- Payments deposited after 5:00 pm will be posted the next business day. Delinquent payments are subject to penalties and/or service interruption. (Municipal Code Sec 40-21)
Payment Arrangements- Arrangements to extend delinquent bill due dates will be discontinued. Delinquent bills must be paid by the due date to avoid service interruption. (Municipal Code Sec 40-21 Collection of bills)
Leak Adjustments- Leak adjustments will be discontinued and the customer will be responsible for all services rendered. City Staff research abnormally high consumptions prior to billing and the customer is notified. Customers are encouraged to monitor their monthly consumption.
