The City of Nevada Parks & Recreation provides area youth the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs and activities that encourage positive development.
Arts with the Parks
Description: Encourages individual expression and provides Pre-K through 6th Grade unique opportunities to work directly with artists and create amazing new designs.
- Date: September 24-October 30th.
- Days: Monday & Wednesdays.
- Time: 5:30-6:15 PM & 6:15-7:00 PM
- Ages: Pre-K through 2nd Grade & 3rd Grade through 6th grade.
- Cost: $25.00 per Child
Dance
Description: Classes exploring Introduction to Dance, Jazz/Ballet, and Creative Movement are offered.
- Date: Starts September 2oth runs for 8 weeks
- Days: Thursdays Evenings
- Time: TBA
- Ages: Pre-K – Creative Movement, K & 1st Grade – Jazz & Ballet Combo, 2nd thru 4th – Jazz
- Cost: $50.00 per Child (Can be split into two payments)
Flag Football
Description: This league is designed to introduce beginning football skills in a fun, non-tackle setting. Teams compete among themselves.
- Date: Starts September 17th
- Days: Mondays & Thursdays
- Time: TBA
- Ages: Pre-K 0n Mondays Nights, Kindergarten on Monday Nights, 1st & 2nd Grade on Thursday Nights
- Cost: $15 for Pre-K & K, $20 for 1st 7 2nd
Soccer
Description: Encourages creative decision making and strategic thinking. And it’s a fast game that keeps each player moving the entire time.
- Date: Starts September 17th
- Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays
- Time: TBA
- Ages: Pre-K – Wednesdays (4 weeks), Kindergarten – Tuesdays, 1st & 2nd – Mondays, 3rd thru 6th – Thursdays
- Cost: $15 for Pre-K, $20 for K thru 6th.
